Chalk the walk! Streetpainting and pavement art
Pavement art is hiding somewhere within our everyday reality, both surprising and impressive. The spectator can observe how, within the time frame of a few hours, the picture is painted with chalk and pigments on the ground.
Fixatives and plastic tarps are useful tools to avoid serious damage by short rain showers. Also depending on the weather forecast, the pavement condition and the city counselor's permit, it is sometimes advantageous to paint with chalk on canvas. The canvas can be fixed onto the pavement and eventually it can be rolled up and kept.
Are you looking for a pavement artist? As a matter of fact, streetpaintings can also be done on commission. This kind of promotion in i.e. malls or busy squares is catchy as it is unusual and therefore highly effective.
